Join Kate Mitcheom, Certified MBSR Teacher, and Kristyn Wilson-Schram, Certified RYT-Y4C Teacher, for an exceptionally nourishing retreat this coming January. Kristyn’s journey with breast cancer informs the yoga she practices now, thus this retreat may be especially helpful for those in the midst of loss or life transitions. We will return to Xinalani a luxurious, eco-friendly retreat center nestled between lush jungle and emerald ocean. Sleep in beautiful eco-chic accommodations, enjoy delicious and healthy Mexican food. With six stunning yoga spaces, a temazcal (ancient sweat lodge), beach club, lounge bar, sand terrace, oceanfront spa, and a restaurant for yogis, there will be many ways to nurture your body, mind and soul. When:
Jan 25- Feb.1, 2020. Take the early flight into Puerto Vallarta International airport (PVR) on the 25th and fly out the afternoon of Feb. 1st. To be relaxed, fly in a day early and stay near the airport. Details available upon request.
About Transportation:
There is no road access to the property. For boat transportation purposes, guests should book an arrival flight that lands no later than 4:00 PM and a departure flight that takes off no earlier than 11:00 AM.
Getting to Xinalani:
After landing at Puerto Vallarta International Airport (PVR), take a moment to change into comfortable clothes for your trip to Xinalani. You’ll be joining us by boat, so expect to get wet up to your knees when stepping off the boat and onto our beach. We suggest wearing shorts, sandals, and sunscreen. We also recommend safeguarding your cell phone and valuables in a waterproof dry bag.
Highly experienced retreat leaders,
Kate Mitcheom and Kristyn Wilson-Schram, will lead everyone in yoga each morning at one of the 6 world-class, open-air studios. The yoga practice will draw from Kate’s Yoga for Osteorporosis and Anusara Yoga training together with Kristyn’s Gentle Hatha and Restorative Yoga training, all serving to focus on flexibility, well-being and strength by using movement to reduce anxiety and boost overall well-being. After breakfast the group will explore Mindfulness, learning and practicing a variety of meditations. One-on-one and/or group guidance sessions are available upon request. The afternoons will be free to reset, rest, play, and rejuvenate.
Cost: Is dependent on the accommodations you select. First come, first served! The cost of the retreat ranges from $2095-$2995 and includes lodging, meals, daily Alignment-based Yoga sessions, Guided Meditation & Mindfulness instruction, roundtrip shuttle service to and from the retreat center (which is only assessable by boat). Your afternoons are free for any of the optional excursions, activities or classes.
Healthy dining:With a menu designed especially for yogis, Xinalani offers healthy, gourmet vegetarian and non-vegetarian Mexican meals. Special diet considerations can be accommodated with two weeks advance notice.
Retreat includes:
- Seven nights lodging at Xinalani
- Three meals a day (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) including a fresh juice of the day, purified water, fresh fruit water, high quality house coffee and house tea and hot water are available at the dining patio at any time of the day from 7:00 am to 11:00 pm.
- Daily yoga
- Guided daily Meditation & Mindfulness Training
- Kayaking and snorkeling equipment
- Roundtrip shuttle service from the airport to the marina and boat shuttle from the marina to the Xinalani.
- 13% tax is included
Note from Xinalani about the ocean swimming:
Xinalani is located besides of a Surf point called “El Volador”, during our winter the ocean is choppy right in front of our property, however there is a spot named La Boquita” about 10 minutes walking distance where you can enjoy swimming.
